The general single card performance with an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT is very solid and consistent to the MSI. The Abit X38 performance is fractionally better overall, but not to a degree that will ever be noticeable.

With a pair of Radeon HD 3870s in CrossFire, 
Crysis (with patch 1.1) drops a few FPS with the Gigabyte compared to the other boards, but it also makes up a couple in 
World in Conflict. Surprisingly only 
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars scales very well with two full PCI-Express x16 lanes on the Abit X38 board because both Gigabyte and MSI have an x16 and x4 slot which is an unbalanced solution limited by the x4 slot.
As much as I wouldn't recommend CrossFire on a P35, as shown above, depending on the game it might not affect performance that much.
